Social Transformation at Christ Church Spitalfields

We want to be a church that sees East London renewed by Jesus.

THE FOOD PANTRY

GET INVOLVED

The Food Pantry is a community service that provides food parcels to individuals and families in need, referred by local schools, GPs, and social workers. Each month, we gather at Christ Church Spitalfields to pack and deliver food bags, offering both practical help and spiritual support through conversation and prayer.

Once a month on Wednesdays 5-6:30pm

GrowTH

GET INVOLVED

We're one of the host churches for GrowTH, a community rotating night shelter. During the coldest months, we welcome Guests referred by GrowTH with a meal and bed for the night. We work to make each guest feel welcome, with optional games, conversation, Bible study and space to ask questions about faith. GrowTH also helps guests secure more permanent accommodation going forward.

Volunteer with GrowTH

Our team is what makes GrowTH a supportive, friendly environment for our guests. Join the team and make a difference in Tower Hamlets.

Meet Derlich

Derlich is our SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION COORDINATOR. He does an amazing job making sure the Food Pantry is well-stocked and everything is ready for our night shelter guests. He also builds relationships with those we serve so we can support them better and be a friendly space in the city.

Derlich, though, can't do it all alone. He needs you! Join Derlich's team of awesome volunteers making a real difference to people's lives in Tower Hamlets.
